Protectionism? The class war

The French government has announced loans to automakers French (Renault and PSA) for $ 6.5 billion in exchange dixit Le Nouvel Observateur, "guarantees for the employment ".

And just after, PSA (which will therefore affect 3 billion euros), still from the Nouvel Observateur , announced his plan to relinquish Plant closure has its social plan "for 2009" and will be satisfied ... voluntary departures and non-renewal of retirement!

That is the "guaranteed employment"?

Well, it sure is less than ripping waves of layoffs. But the effect on employment levels is exactly the same: I dismiss someone or I do not renew a retirement or voluntary redundancy (you believe in yourself, voluntary departures, in crisis ? you voluntarily quit your job?), the consequence is that there is a job and less. In one case, it is an unemployed moreover, in the other, an unemployed person who does not find work. The result is the same: someone is unemployed, and would not have been without these measures.

And to get this grandiose Sarkozy pulled out the checkbook and spent money from our taxes?

Meanwhile, Sarkozy defended himself to protectionism with this plan. It's a shame that our government, like the European Commission, continues to sing the praises of liberalism in general and free trade and private customers. Protectionism is the only way to revive the French economy. Without protectionism, any action is futile: to support research is to develop future products to be manufactured in China, lower wages will never be enough until we have the wage level (and thus living standards) of poorest countries where manufacturers are likely to relocate (if the wage level rises too high in China, they will go to the Philippines, Vietnam, Morocco and elsewhere), subsidizing business, runs the risk they relocate faster with these funds. The state waives therefore have any influence on the economy, with the results observed.

Free trade has benefits that for large companies. For employees and even for SMEs, it is a calamity.

Personally, I'm starting to get scared: Sarkozy's measures to counter the crisis will aggravate the contrary, and consume resources that would fight effectively. One approaches the point of no return, when our economy can get up ...

Demand that our government protects our labor market against imports from countries with low-cost, where people are underpaid and exploited.

Small Dark Spots And Red Spots Skin Hiv

"The class war" by François Ruffin is a work safety public, who says aloud what many dare to think quietly.

The book is about class struggle, growing inequality worldwide and increasing the concealment of this fact. Many do not dare even use terminology like "class struggle", considered dated, "cheesy" as she describes the situation perfectly, however. Only to see yet the reality is the wealthy, and they rejoice. The author cites the billionaire Warren Buffett (who said "The class war exists is a fact, but it is mine, the class of the rich, who conducts this war, and we trying to win it ") or the economic daily La Tribune, and we understand they do not bother with prejudice. In fact, at the same time that the terminology is a whole section which is ideological abandoned by those who want the forces of progress, the left.

Through the example of the Socialist Party, but also other parties (even Besancenot) the author depicts the resignation in the face of liberalism. The left parties, According to him, wallow in maudlin rhetoric, sordid, without seeking responsible, without proposing an alternative that can really change things. According to him, the left parties, since the 80s, trying to be less and less to the left, and compete in reassuring signals to the wealthy.

The explanation on the PS, due firstly to the electoral base and supporter of the party, which has largely ceased to be a result of the working class to rely on the Public and the middle class, whose problems are not all the same. Then, managers of that party does not know the reality of the cause they claim to defend, as being from the bourgeoisie, the workers' struggles or simply poverty are abstract concepts for them. Political commitment is simply left for them a path to success, and they do not hesitate to change lanes if another promising more open to them (like Kouchner and Besson).

This book is a vitriolic portrait of "left" contemporary terribly accurate, and the whole mechanics of what must be called a betrayal is dissected. The only criticism one can make to it, however, is that by pretending prepare the death certificate of the left, he took part in this renunciation, however, he seeks to denounce.

I must say that this book opened my eyes too, especially on this blog, I tend to just point to what is wrong, without attempting to propose another way. I'll try to change that, and put as much as possible in my articles that I think could be done without pretension, just pure fuel the debate. I am well aware that this is a completely different story and it's not nearly as simple as using his capacity for indignation to say what's wrong. We'll see what happens to it. Feel free to tell me what you think.

The event of 24 January 2009

Here are some photos of the demonstration for peace in Palestine, Saturday, Jan. 24 (taken with my cell phone, because I showed that I have sighted and not taken my SLR) that I mentioned January 29. No media has talked about, apart AFP , so I do what I can ...

Place Denfert-Rochereau, before the event, thugs of unknown origin (I heard several hypotheses regarding their affiliation) attack the demonstrators. One of the protesters had blood on his face:

After the attack, police intervenes ... to allow the evacuation of aggressor safely! To my knowledge, no arrest has been made ...

Police directing "Subtly" procession, boulevard Raspail, to be sure he does not link to the Elysee and do not disturb the tranquility of Sarkozy:

Some demonstrators are very young, and their banners belie any idea of Islamist demonstrations:

FILING A proceeding to CRS (Edvirp? STIC? DCRI?) responsible citizens protesters peacefully. But against the policy options ...

The mass of demonstrators. 20,000 according to organizers, 9500 according to police:

On the truck head of the procession, the Invalides, a man waved the French flag and simultaneously the Palestinian flag. Further proof of the republican nature of this event:
